The Institute of Cosmological Economics considers William Delbert Gann to be the most influential figure in the study and development of Financial Astrology and Cosmological Economics. Throughout his years of expansive and dedicated research, Gann meticulously assembled a unique and comprehensive analysis and trading system that synthesized rigorous and dependable trading methods with a profound esoteric and mathematical understanding of how all things in nature (including the Markets) relate through a Universal Law of Vibration. His master system was elaborated across a long history of books and courses, each containing several layers of encoded information. Initial exposure to his material portrays an obvious and exoteric teaching of Cosmological Economics tools. Further study reveals a more secretive esoteric pedagogy outlined through obscure references, phraseologies, calculators and mysterious charts.
Gann’s pioneering studies were decades ahead of his time. The tools and techniques that his legacy offers have only increased in their efficacy and application through the advent of technological advances in recent years. When computationally applied, Gann’s exoteric techniques provide some of the most practical tools ever developed in the field of Technical Analysis. His esoteric tools are capable of producing indicators, forecasts, or trading signals which far exceed the general industry standards.
The Institute of Cosmological Economics remains dedicated to promoting the source teachings of W.D Gann by offering the most comprehensive catalog of his Master Courses, Unpublished Works, Charts, Mathematical Calculators and more. We have amassed the most comprehensive collection of his legendary Gann Reading List and are at the forefront of promoting the efforts of the premier Market Researchers who have followed in his footsteps, such as authors Dr. Jerome Baumring (the only known person who fully uncovered the Gann code), Dr. Lorrie V. Bennett, Daniel T. Ferrera, Catalin Plapcianu and others.
William Delbert Gann was born at 10.34am on 6 June 1878, in a rural setting on the outskirts of Lufkin, Texas. His first exposure to the world of investment was as a 13 year old newspaper sales boy aboard trains. During this time he overheard many conversations from train passengers, speculating on market investments and future commodity prices. These conversations sparked an interest in him that would change the path of his life forever.
At the age of 25 Gann relocated to New York City. In 1903 he gained his first job working at a large brokerage house in Wall Street. In these early years he developed a strategy to make profits that was rooted in the sound principles of understanding Price Patterns, Technical Analysis, and most importantly – Risk Management. While integrating these essential foundations into his profession, Gann developed a desire for deeper insight into exactly how and why market patterns, and certain numbers, repeated cyclically throughout time. His motivation to learn more about these cycles led him to a deeper esoteric study of subjects including Natural Philosophy, Vibration, Number Theory, Sacred Geometry and Astrology.
It was on August 8th, 1908 that Gann says he made his most significant discovery in Market Forecasting and after many years of dedicated research and study, Gann then promoted his forecasting abilities to Wall Street in the famous Ticker & Investment Digest Interview with Richard D. Wyckoff. During the interview, Gann emphatically declares that the essence of his years of study and market forecasting abilities are firmly rooted in the understanding of “The Universal Law of Causation and Harmony”. He also states in candid terms that "Everything in existence is based on exact proportion and perfect relationship. There is no chance in nature, because mathematical principles of the highest order lie at the foundation of all things.”
As personally witnessed by an independent Auditor hired by The Ticker, Gann demonstrated his forecasting proficiency by producing 1000% return with 262 out of 284 successful trades over one month of trading; an astonishing 92% success rate. This incredible milestone remains a beacon for those seeking to uncover the deepest secrets contained within the esoteric level of his writings. It remains that to this day, although many have claimed, that very few traders have truly demonstrated evidence describing a market forecasting proficiency to match that of Gann. In our extensive knowledge of the field, the only “true contemporary” who has done this was the late Dr. Jerome Baumring of the Investment Centre.
On December 15th, 1922, Gann gained membership into Commonwealth-Stella Lodge No. 409, Free & Accepted Masons, New York City, and by March 27th 1923 he was raised as a 3rd degree Master Mason. Gann demitted his Masonic affiliation 16 years later in 1939. Although Gann never cites his Masonic affiliation as being critical to his successes on Wall St as a Financial Forecaster (his record was proven prior to membership), we acknowledge that it may have played some role in his development. We can safely assume that his affiliatoin was used to gain access to the rare, original Masonic source works held in thier libraries, to learn their secrets and codes, and to meet other like-minded contacts in his field of interest.
Throughout his life, Gann made numerous forecasts and predictions including the November 9, 1918 abdication of the German Kaiser and the end of WWI. His abilities to predict future socio-economic events is most notably demonstrated in his perennial classic “The Tunnel thru the Air” (Pub. 9th May 1927) in which Gann forecast the exact top and price of Cotton on 8th September 1927 at 24.40 (pp. 196). He also accurately forecast that the stock exchange would close due to panic selling on October 3rd 1931, and that the major low would occur on the 5th October of the same year. The forecast also included a market rally from the low of 85.51 to a high of 119.15 on 9th November 1931 (pp. 321-323). These forecasts are just a few that demonstrate the vast extent of his predictive capacities.
The legacy left behind by this Master Trader and founding father of Cosmoeconomics remains available for exploration in the form of his meticulously crafted Books and Master Courses. Throughout his career as an Author & Publisher Gann retained complete control over all editorial aspects related to his works. This must remain a critical consideration for prospective purchasers of his titles, as he deliberately encoded the essence and secrets behind his teachings within the covers of his books “in plain sight”.
Many contemporary reprints of his titles include editorial changes that negate the clues contained within his originals. The Institute of Cosmological Economics retains an unwavering commitment to upholding the publication of all true-to-source embodiments of the Gann Legacy.
W.D. Gann’s spiritual beliefs cannot be separated from his developments in the field of Financial Forecasting. Throughout his life he regularly stated that the Bible was one of his most important and noteworthy source works.
In his twilight years, Gann’s last published offering “The Magic Word” was a means to “Show others the way to use and obey God’s divine law and thus help them to bring out their latent talents and their God-given powers, for that is the only way they can realize health, happiness, and prosperity.” However, those who follow the esoteric trail of Gann’s teachings know that the Biblical references contained in this work serve as a code to decipher some of the final hidden secrets that Gann left behind for posterity.
Gann was said to have taken over $50,000,000 out of the markets over his long trading career, leading to continuing interest in uncovering the secret teachings of his esoteric system. Gann died on June 18th, 1955, leaving generations of traders and researchers fascinated and intrigued with the vast offerings he has left behind. The Institute of Cosmological Economics is proud to be the premium centralized source for the accumulation and distribution of the very best original and Gann-related materials that explain, apply and decode his vast perennial legacy.
